11/26/07 - HAVING A GOOD LAUGH

Way back in the 60’s I stayed upset much of the time because of what was going on in the world. Our government was gradually embracing socialism, which greatly upset me. I published a monthly newspaper with the title of THE FIGHTING AMERICAN. Within an hour after President Kennedy had been shot the FBI was checking on me to make sure they knew where I was at. These were very frustrating times for us because it just seemed no one was really interested in knowing the truth.

Feed My Sheep
Praise God that I met TRUTH Himself one evening in 1968. He baptized me in His Holy Spirit and instantly my whole perspective on living a peaceful and restful life changed. It is in Him and Him alone that we can have peace and rest. I am thankful to Him for many things during this Thanksgiving season, but most of all just for knowing Him and knowing that He knows me.

I have had some of you expressing real concern at the upcoming meeting in Annapolis. I am hearing loud and clear in my spirit these words. These things must happen in order to bring forth the wisdom of our God. Keep your focus on Him and Him alone.

“Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:26-28)

It is extremely difficult to not have some pretty strong opinions as we observe all the nations getting upset with us and Israel. I noticed in the news yesterday that our State Department is issuing invitations to 40 nations to come and try to convince Israel and the Palestinian people to settle their differences and live in peace. This is not going to happen because they have both rejected the Prince of Peace.

“The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One. ‘Let us break their chains,’ they say. ‘and throw off their fetters.’ The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” (Psalms 2:2-4)

Remember whose side you are on. Sit back and recline in Him. As I sit here and write this I have a silly grin on my face. Remember that His ways are perfect, His timing is perfect, His plans are perfect, His purposes are perfect and that you are under His covering. Come quickly Lord Jesus.

Homer & Ruby Owen A personal note. I will be flying to Israel this week to spend time with our new man who will be making our 100% olive oil soap. Thanks for helping us to have a great year in our outreach in Israel. I am visiting with some folks in Germany who are interested in distributing both our water and soap in Europe. God is good. Our second container of water is on the way. Glory! http://www.samaritanfoundation.org/product.htm

Blessings in Him, Homer Owen.
