What an awesome God we have. Thanks for the kind and encouraging words that you sent me in the past few days. What a joy it is to be able to share my thoughts with you each week. I appreciate your love and prayers as I endeavor to hear His encouraging words for each of us. I spoke at a small fellowship Sunday and an older brother came up to me and thanked me for preaching on Sonship. God is good. Glory!
“In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.” (Hebrews 2:10-12)
All of us go through this same process of being perfected in the same way our big Brother was. Suffering. The wonderful news to us all is that Jesus did this so He can not just identify with us but in fact can hold our hand and walk with us in our own suffering. His final suffering was the cross where He destroyed the ability of the devil to hold us any longer as slaves by holding death over us if we did not do what we were told.
I am amazed at so called Christian groups that use this same tactic over people by telling them that they are going to hell if they don’t line up with their form of religion. Praise God that our Jesus overcame fear in all of its forms and that we are free in Him. Yes, He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.
“For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” (Hebrews 2:17-18)
Just remember today that no matter what your need is, He has been there on your behalf and is ready to save you to the uttermost out of any and all situations that you might find yourself in. His love is perfect, just for you. Just let go and let God have his wonderful way. Glory!
The man that has been working with us in Israel making our soap has just returned to the states to receive some needed medical attention. Please pray with us for Jonathan that He might experience the love of Jesus and to know Him personally as his Great Physician. I am asking the Lord to send me a single man who would like to live and work in Israel. Thanks for praying with me about this and if you or someone you know is interested please contact me. homerowen@peoplepc.com
Our first container of water has landed in Houston and we have seen one major miracle in that the FDA has released it without inspecting it. Customs is the next step as they check the container and this should only take a day or two. I will give you more information on our water project in my next devotional. Thanks for remembering to order our soap and body products.
