10/03/07 - DIRTY SHOES

"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good. Who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns!" (Isaiah 52:7)

We had an awesome short stay in Israel and are still rejoicing of just how good our God really is. Our steps were wonderfully ordered of the Lord from start to finish. We met several people who God is using to bring good tidings to Zion in many varied ways. There is a group in Jericho that is receiving great favor from the city fathers because they are extending hands of mercy to the people in need. It was a joy to visit with some of the leaders of this group and hear how God is reaching down and touching the Arabs in Jericho.

Our first container of water from Israel left the port in Haifa on Sunday morning. The ship should make port in Houston around the 22nd of October. We are extremely excited about what the Lord is doing with this water project and we especially appreciate your support as we endeavor to distribute this water out to a dry and thirsty ground.

"For I will pour water upon him who is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground. I will pour My Spirit upon your offspring, and My blessing upon your descendants." (Isaiah 44:3)

We brought several cartons of water with us on the plane. The small bags weighted over 50 pounds each and the Lord had a precious baggage handler in Dallas come to us to lend a hand in putting the water on his luggage cart. I smiled as he picked the first one up and asked me what we had in those small bags that weighted so much. I wish you could have been their when I told him that we had just flown in from Israel.

He went ahead and placed the bag on the cart and then took me into his arms and hugged me tightly. He shared with us that he was from Africa and had preached there for many years before coming to America. He related his great desire to go to Israel and how blessed he was to meet us.

We just stood and smiled and thanked the Lord for allowing us to be a blessing to him and rejoiced in seeing first hand the Spirit being poured out on this precious brother.

I opened one of the cartons and gave him a bottle of water and once again he took me into his arms and hugged and thanked me. Ruby shared with him that just the day before we walked on the dusty road that is called the "Road of the Patriarchs" south of Jerusalem and that the dust on Homer's sandals came from the same road that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Samuel and on and on walked. Our new friend knelt down and began to wipe my sandals and put the dust on his own skin. Wow! Or better yet. Glory!

Homer & Ruby Owen What a confirmation to us that our God is in charge of this water project. If you have not yet read my vision that is on our web site about this, please do so.

We want to thank you for standing with us and especially your prayers as we endeavor to cause a river of water to flow out to our nation.
