Ruby and I attended a wedding this past week and everything was beautiful until the preacher began to tell this couple just how bad the world is around them and how hard it is going to be for them to live a married life. Sure it is bad out their. Sure the devil is working on every marriage to bring about failure and divorce. BUT GOD!
"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved (married), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:4-6)
Glory be to God that we are His workmanship. As we allow Him to reveal Himself in us and to cause us to realize that we are Righteous apart from anything that we might do other than to believe Him, we will began to live above the circumstances around us.
In 1968 the Lord began showing me how much He had done for me since I was a child and that I was His joy and delight. The devil had convinced me that I was not worthy of His love and care and that if anything good was going to happen to me it would have to be me making it happen. A new sense of Righteousness began to dominate my thinking and I found a new freedom in Christ that I had never experienced in my first thirty four years of living.
If we will get our heads screwed on right so we are thinking right we will discover that the old way of living in sin consciousness which produces weakness consciousness will have to leave. Jesus truly is the Light of the world and His Light will dispel darkness. Can you say with me today that I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am a new creation in Him. God no longer sees me as a sinner but He sees me as a son.
Righteousness comes only by faith. It is not gained by works, by repentance, by crying or begging. Praise God for the gift of faith so that we can receive His righteousness as a gift and that we can thankfully praise Him that we are as righteous as He is, since it is His righteousness.
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." (1 John 3:1)
What an awesome reality for us to grasp today. The world does not know us because it did not know Him! Glory! Just think, you are hid in Him. Purpose in your heart today that you will allow Him to rule supreme in your everyday living. Yes, you can move and have your being in Him today. Not by works of righteousness which you have done, but by his great love and mercy. Have a great week in Him this week.
Blessings, Homer Owen
One of our soap users has found a new use for the soap. She is using it to clean cosmetic brushes and reports that the makeup washes out easily and the brushes dry fluffy and soft – just like new.
