Homer's e-pistle

I pray that the above verse does not come across as just Homer putting something down on paper that will fill up space. My heart desire for you is that you will experience His peace today in your life and you can truly rest in His never ceasing love and care for you. Our God paid the perfect price for us all to walk in victory through the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world. Yes, we have been called to live a life that is earmarked by His ability to work in and through us to give us a victor's life that makes us more than conquerors. Glory!

It is pouring down rain here in Central Texas today. Our rainfall for this year is breaking all records. Lord, even as our natural rainfall is great, cause our spiritual rainfall to be greater. I believe we are living in the time that God has chosen to make Himself known among the nations and in this process everything that can be shaken is being shaken – including the weather. This is the day that is described in Daniel where we are told that those people who know their God will do mighty exploits.

One of those exploits that I am working on at the moment is our olive oil soap. I believe that the Lord has brought forth this soap to bless many people and one of the major ways is through fund raising events for schools and churches. Our son Donnie, who lives in Arkansas is working with me on this project and he has put together a fund raising packet that is ready to be sent out to you. Just let me know if you have an interest in helping to raise funds for some special project and I will have Donnie send you a packet.

They did a project with a private school in Hot Springs this past month and it was very successful. This soap and lip balm is a cause related project which makes it easy to sell. God is speaking to His people to become involved in everyday living instead of just going someplace and sharing the good news of salvation. Praise God for the message of the cross for the salvation of a person, but we must present a total life in Christ. Jesus preached the Kingdom of God as a lifestyle. Our soap project is working with both Arabs and Jews in an effort to break down walls through the cross. This is working to establish His kingdom in the now in the hills of Samaria.

The above verse describes how God looks at Israel. When we fully grasp this truth we can rest in the work of God for the day we are living in. Along with realizing that God is not just talking about present day Israel in the Mideast but He is also talking about you personally and the Church corporately. We have been brought into the commonwealth of Israel and are fellow citizens with all of the Jews living in the land of Israel. Lord, open our ears to hear what You are saying to the church and give us a heart to embrace your ways above our ways. In Jesus name we ask this.
