"As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the majestic ones in whom is all my desire." (Psalms 16:3)
We are living in a wonderful time with the Lord in these last days. Heaven is excited about what is taking place in the saints across the earth. Great anticipation is taking place in all of the saints that have gone before us. My prayer is that we who are still on this side of glory will be caught up in the spirit with God, our Father, and the Son who is our Savior. The end of time as we know it is drawing to a close and the Lord wants us to know that we have been brought forth for such a day as this.
"And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14)
Several movies have been produced in the past few years depicting how a small group of young men and women can be motivated to rise far above their normal abilities in the sports arena. The number one golfer today is Tiger Woods. His father began working with Tiger when he was three years old and convinced him that he could beat anyone playing golf. Especially in the sports arena do we see and hear testimony after testimony along these lines.
"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified." (1 Corinthians 9:24-27)
I was visiting with a brother the other morning about the times we live in and he shared with me that he felt the greatest need in the Body of Christ is a good wholesome fear of God. I feel that we must step up to the plate and assume the responsibility for this awesome end game we are engaged in. We must not think more highly of ourselves than we should, but at the same time we must recognize our calling and focus our eyes on Jesus.
"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2)
I pray that this word is an encouragement to you today. May you arise and shine in all of His glory that He has intended for you. Yes, He has a place just for you when your days are finished here so you can be a pillar in the temple of our God. Lord, cause us to focus on you today. Amen!
