"Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1)
Aren't you glad today that your justified - because you believe you are justified? May the Lord deliver us all of any pretext of endeavoring to get the Lord to accept us based on some sort of performance rather than by His marvelous multiplied grace.
Ruby and I love to see the Lord put on a dog and pony show when special people show up in Ariel to observe what we do at the mini golf. This past Friday was no exception and at the end of the day we just smiled at each other and gave praise to this wonderful God we walk with.
One of the largest ministries in America sent a couple of men from their staff to do a fact finding mission to Israel and they spent the day with us in the hills of Samaria. We were truly honored and appreciated the Lord directing their steps our way. I want to share part of what they had to say in hopes of your being able to rejoice with us. God is so good. Glory!
"Dear Homer and Ruby, We want to thank you, again, for having us up to spend that precious time with you during our quick trip to Ariel. Your love and hospitality and warm spirit just blew us away! What a testimony you both are to us! We can see why people in your community love you and flock to your deli. You probably don't hear this enough because you are working so hard to serve those who visit you and you may not get much verbal feedback from them, but I can tell you that the Lord Jesus shines through you both. You are letters of Christ, known and read by those around you, and I know the Lord is pleased with you and is blessing you. You are having a mighty impact, and it pleases the Lord. Keep on keeping on!"
Ruby and I experience the supernatural strength of the Lord on a daily basis and I want to encourage you to just put yourself in the way of the Lord and allow Him to do in and through you things that only He can do. The Lord is not looking for people with special abilities, but what He wants is folks that will make them selves available. We both notice that it takes a little more effort on our part to get up and start these days, but once we start we discover His marvelous touch.
"He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power" (Isaiah 40:29)
We are so grateful to the Lord for allowing us to spend time with Him and His people in the Hills of Samaria. He is telling us that it is time to spend more time in Texas with family and friends and the Lord has sent a couple from Florida to walk along side us and look after the mini golf. We need your help as we make this transition. Many of you have been faithful to this outreach over the past seven years and we truly appreciate it. Please dig down in your pocket and stand with us. You can send your checks to: Samaritan Foundation, 6613 Sanger Avenue, Waco, Texas 76710. We are a 501c Foundation and your contributions are fully tax deductible.
May God richly bless you today in Jesus name. Homer Owen
