05/10/07 - HAVING OUR BEING IN HIM

"He is not far from each one of us, for in Him we live and move and have our being, (exist) as even some of your own poets have said, 'For we are His offspring.'" (Acts 17:27-28)

Thank you Lord Jesus for allowing us to have our very being in you today. We appreciate the air that we breathe and the breath that goes with this. Thanks for giving us an awesome body to abide in, both in the physical and the spiritual. Cause us to be aware of all things around us and give us discernment on how to move about in your Kingdom.

It is incredible to grasp the fact that our God wants us to bring His Kingdom down here to earth. Yes, Lord Jesus, we desire to declare with faith - Thy kingdom come - Today. We are told that our steps are ordered by Him and that we are His delight and joy. Glory! Bring this truth forth in each of us today by the power of your Spirit and cause a Spirit of wisdom and knowledge in You to rest upon us and in us. Amen and Amen.

Yesterday morning I had an appointment with an official of the Coca Cola Bottling plant that is located in Jericho. The manager had given me directions on how to come to the plant without going through all of the check points but you have to realize that this Arab man doesn't speak perfect English and I was not able to follow all of his directions, but by His grace I was following the directions of the Holy Spirit and He had my steps laid out.

I turned onto a road near Jericho and noticed a Jewish man desiring a ride and felt the peace and freedom to pick him up. Itai began talking to me about the Moshav that he lives on. A Moshav is a community where a group of people live but it is not a Kibbutz. A Kibbutz is a collective community but a Moshav is where each family has their own house and land. Itai works with an Organic Farm that raises organic herbs that are rooted to the Bible. It was fascinating to listen to him and he asked me if I had faith. His point of reference was in an outward expression of what they were growing and producing.

The Lord opened the door for me to share my faith in His God. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I told him that I called upon the name of His God and knew him by Yeshua. I told him that Yeshua was before Abraham and existed at the very beginning and nothing had been made without Him. Please add Itai to your prayer list and agree with me that His God will reveal Himself to him. Itai was able to show me the road that I needed to get on to make my appointment with Ali at the Coca Cola plant. More on that meeting on another day.

"I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Let my meditation be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall be glad in the Lord" (Psalms 104:33-34)

Lord, help us to recognize that what seems like the wrong road or detour to us is just Your getting us onto Your highway of living. Cause us to have our being in you today, Lord Jesus. Glory!

Homer & Ruby Owen Thanks for going to our web site and ordering our soap and other items. We had a couple here at the mini golf last night from Switzerland and when they saw our soap and heard the story they took 20 bars with them on their way back to Switzerland. God is good. http://www.samaritanfoundation.org/product.htm
