04/28/07 - NO PEEKIE!

I found myself yesterday in the adjustment room of a local Chiropractor receiving a needed adjustment for my back. I feel like a new man this morning and am thankful to the Lord for giving Brad wisdom on how to manipulate bodies to get them back in line.

When we returned to Texas late last fall from Israel I found myself in the same office with Brad. I asked him how his golf game was and he told me that his putting was bad. I told him that I could help him with his game by making two simple adjustments. Attitude and NO PEEKIE. I encouraged him to never say again that he was a bad putter and secondly when he was standing over his ball to putt that he must keep his head down as he moved his putter to strike the ball. If he raised his head in a very slight way to see where the ball was going that he would get his shoulders out of alignment which would cause him to jerk his putter very slightly and this slight jerk would cause his ball to move off the line that would take the ball to the hole.

I asked Brad yesterday how his golf game was doing and smiled as I listened to the good report. "Homer, my putting is really good now and this has improved my over all game." It is amazing what just a slight adjustment can make in many areas of our daily living.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:4-7)

Lord, we thank you today for giving us this passage of scripture. We truly rejoice in our great salvation and we thank you that we can walk uprightly with you. Cause us to not be anxious about anything and to enjoy the joy of our salvation. Your grace is truly sufficient Lord Jesus.

Homer & Ruby Owen Ruby and I fly early in the morning to Israel and we are excited about seeing friends and hearing good reports of what the Lord is doing in Ariel and all over Israel. Our next communication with you will be from the Hills of Samaria where all the calls to heaven are local. Glory!

Our son, Donnie will be taking care of our soap business so keep the orders coming. Your support is a great blessing to us and we appreciate your love and prayers and orders.
