03/19/07 - LIVING IN THE NOW

"Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die." (Exodus 20:19)

May God have mercy on us in this new day that we are living in. The world is seeing our God in the thunder and lighting today and there is much discussion about our present day weather. When you study what happened with the Jewish people and Egypt during Moses time we see a similar thing. The Lord used nature to bring Egypt to its knees and forced them to let the Jewish people go free.

The Lord continued to speak to his kids out in the wilderness using nature. God furnished them manna on a daily basis and then we find an abundance of water flowing from a rock that we are told in 1 Corinthians 10 was Christ. Yes, this Rock is Jesus, the only One. Glory! In the passage from Exodus 20 we see that when the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke that they all got scared and told Moses to not force them to go with him to see and hear God.

Moses told the people to not be afraid but that the Lord was testing them to make sure the fear of the Lord was with them and this would keep them from sinning. This did not move the folks and they told Moses for him to go and hear from God and tell them what to do and they would obey. How sad. Yes, this is the basic picture of the Church today. Far to many times we find the people telling someone that they will pay him or her to go and hear from God and come and tell them what to do and they will do it.

Jesus has come to deliver us from this present evil world and then set us free to worship Him. Galatians 1:4, Galatians 5:1. This is what He intended to do with the people when they came out of Egypt during Moses time and now during this time of Grace. God wants to reveal Himself to you personally today. He has taken you up to Mount Zion where His city is at. I love this following passage of scripture.

"You have not come to a mountain that can not be touched and is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them,…..But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven." (Hebrews 12:18-23)

Yes, we are told that today, right now, not off in the bye and bye, that we are seated with Christ in Heavenly places and this is where the blessings are at. We have been granted entrance into the very throne room of God through the blood and we are told that we can come in like little children with great boldness. Glory! It is impossible for us to surprise or interrupt our King. We have been given the keys to His kingdom and we are able to unlock every door into glory, right now.

Homer & Ruby Owen May you LIVE IN THE NOW with Jesus all of this week. Ruby and I continue to have fun peddling our soap and lipbalm. Here is part of a note we received the other day. "Homer, I just had to write and say how much I LOVE the soap. I'm sure this probably looks like a copy of many others you receive. I thought you were just making a sales pitch when you suggested using it as a shampoo, but when I finally tried it last week, I found it really does make the best shampoo. I don’t even need to use cream rinse after using. My hair is very soft and has lots of body in it without using setting lotions." Thank you Jane for this testimony that is in fact like a lot of others, but we just love to hear them. Glory! http://www.samaritanfoundation.org/product.htm
