I called my wife this morning to wish her a happy Valentine day and my number showed up on our telephone in Texas and before I could tell her she told me. We have played this little game for over 50 years of trying to be the first one to wish the other happy New Year or happy birthday and on and on. This high technology gave me away this morning, so I want to be the first to wish you happy Valentine today. If you were here in Ariel with us I would fix you a cup of coffee and have a visit with you.
My inbox was full of mail from my last e-pistle from folks who were touched by my testimony of how the Lord took care of a 10 million dollar debt for me. Yes, our God is good and greatly to be praised. I had a lot of questions and requests for prayer. My heart goes out to all of you that need the Lord to meet your needs. He is well able to supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory. The Lord has cautioned me not to give formulas or principles so I pray you can hear my heart and that you will find Him in a very personal and loving way.
"They overcame the devil because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death." (Revelation 12:11)
My testimony is that I stand in Him today because of His blood. When I acknowledged that my debt was because of my not listening to Him and going my own way the next step was repentance. I became broken hearted over my own foolishness and saw that I not only sinned against myself but my actions had broken His heart also. God calls this Godly sorrow. The immediate response from the Lord was that He would take care of my debt. Even then it took over two months for me to release my debt to Him. It was at this point that the Lord sent an angel to encourage me in my actions. I have prayed for all of you that need help and this is the scripture the Lord gave me.
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days, says the Lord; I will put My laws into their minds, and I will write them upon their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people, And they shall not teach every one his fellow citizen, and every one his brother, saying 'Know the Lord,' for all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." (Hebrews 8:10-12)
What the Lord is telling us in this passage is that He wants to be a very personal God to each of us and that any of us can come to Him and know Him. The Lord wants to work in your life His great love and acceptance so that you do not have to go to someone to get them to teach you about the goodness of God. The Lord Himself wants to do this for each of us. Part of my testimony is the simple fact that I have a lot of weaknesses and yet He is abundantly merciful to my iniquities and He removes my sins away from me as far as the east is from the west. It is difficult for us to glory in our weakness, but like Paul says, this is where we find the strength of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 11:30)

Tell the Lord that you want to be his friend. Ask Him to help you in this endeavor. This is a good day to wish the Lord a happy Valentine. Tell him how much you love and appreciate Him. May He grant you grace to embrace Him and enjoy His love and acceptance today.
Blessings in Jesus name, Homer.
