02/02/07 - A SHORT WORD

In 1968 when we began exploring the heart of God in a new and different way, we experienced many wonderful opportunities to enjoy those we were walking with in fun times on occasions. One night we were worshiping the Lord and one of the brothers stood up to give a word from the Lord to all of us. This was a new thing for all of us and this brother had never ventured this far out in the realm of the spirit and we all got a good laugh when he became a little scared and all he could get out were the words, "This shall be a short word."

This will be a short word today as I will shortly leave for the airport in Dallas with another brother as we journey towards Israel. Our first stop will be in England where I will be sharing Sunday morning and evening at Faith Tabernacle in Worthing. If you live in those parts you can call the church at 44 1903 236542 and they will give you the time of the meetings and it will be great to see you. I know that quite a number of folks are on my list who live in England. Thanks for praying with us that the Lord will be glorified during this time in England.

We will fly on to Israel on Monday to be with the folks in Ariel. They tell us that it is cold and has rained some. This is the time of the year for wet weather and it is always good to hear that the Lord has given rain to the land. We have a tour showing up at the mini golf on Tuesday for burgers and ice cream. Let me encourage you to come and visit Israel this year if you have been considering a time to come and walk where Jesus walked.

Ruby is staying in Texas and I will return the later part of February. We will both return in May to Israel together to look after the mini golf and volunteer center while Don and Sheryl take a break. We have established many wonderful relationships over the years in Israel, both with Arabs and Jews and we are very grateful to the Lord for allowing us to have this adventure in this stage of our life. Our desire is to be a true pleasure to the Lord.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

May the Lord help all of us to make our calling sure in Him. The Lord is moving mightily across the earth and we must purpose not to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to walk with him. We prayed with a young couple the other night and I told them that they were only going to walk and live this life one time and that they are being given the opportunity of a lifetime to know Jesus in a very personal and loving way. Let us consider this deeply: We can actually bring great pleasure to our God! What a wondrous privilege that we can bring joy both to us personally and to the Lord.

Thanks for making this journey with Ruby and I. It is a real joy. I am thankful to the Lord for allowing me to share our adventure with you and we pray that you will be blessed as we all make our way home. May we each find the narrow path that leads to life. (Matthew 7:14)
