Do you remember playing HIDE AND GO SEEK when you were a youngster? We moved into a new home here on the outskirts of Waco last year and it lends itself perfectly for the grandkids and their friends to play HIDE AND GO SEEK. We have a beautiful lot with lots of trees and slopes with a creek that runs along side the house. I love to sit on our deck and watch the kids run and hide and listen for the person who is trying to find everyone yell, "YOU'RE IT!". If you have never played this game you just might need to plan on coming to see us and I will get the grandkids to teach you how to play. I am convinced that the Lord loves to play this game with us in our pursuit of Him.
"I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back from captivity." (Jeremiah 29:10-14)
Twenty years ago I found myself, at 52 years old, needing to find the Lord in regards to what He would have me to do. The only thing I was hearing in the spirit was the need for me to come aside and wait on Him. It took me a few months to get my mind and heart prepared to do this but by His grace and mercy I went to the backside of a ranch that belonged to a friend of mine and purposed to sit and wait on the Lord until He came and spoke to me. I had a supply of water and my Bible and a couple of books to read. It was early spring where the nights were still cool and so I had to gather wood each day to burn at night to keep myself warm.
On the last day of a forty day fast the Lord gave me one verse and told me it was for a time in the future and He would let me know when that day was here. He showed me some land in Waco where He told me if I would build a golf practice facility on it He would bless my business. I leased this land from the utility company and Ruby and I began to build. We literally had $200 in the bank and the first miracle was that the utility company told us that they would give us the first three months rent free. I have written a book about our golf business and if you want to read this fascinating account of His faithfulness to fulfill His promise to me that He would bless this venture you can send me a check for $10 dollars and I will send you a copy. We did not borrow any money and yet we spent over $40,000 the first year.
"BUILDING GOD’S KINGDOM ONE CLUB AT A TIME" is the name of the book. Send your check or cash for $10 to: Homer Owen, 1 Samaritan Way, Waco, Texas 76705. Hey, I will even throw in a couple of bars of soap from our odds and ends soap box.
The following scripture was given to me on the last day of that fast. One day, as I was entering the gate into Ariel, Israel, the Lord spoke to me that He had come to fulfill that scripture. This was fourteen years later. I continue to stand amazed at this God of ours that has great plans for each of us. His presence so filled my car that I had to pull over and just bask in Him. Glory!
"Pass through, pass through the gate. Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway. Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations." (Isaiah 62:10)

It is the Lord’s desire and plan to take us from glory to glory here on the earth as He prepares to bring us into Glory land for ever and ever. Lord, I am praying for the person reading this e-pistle today that you will grant them (along with myself) multiplied grace to seek you with all of our hearts that we might find you and be found by You. Let us give Him thanks for all of His blessings during this time of Thanksgiving. I thank Him and you for being here with me as we pursue Him together in the coming days.
Blessings, Homer Owen
